Hello

Hello, I’m Emily, and I believe that play is for everyone. I am an artist, designer, and researcher. I collaborate with people, communities, and organizations to create joyful and surprising experiences in public space, often using tools derived from human-centered design.

I also help coordinate classes and events that revolve around the pleasures of food, community, and learning at 18Reasons, a non-profit cooking school in San Francisco’s Mission District.

My work is informed by my background in international affairs, environmental history, and urban sustainability, as well as my love for outdoor sports and active living. My ongoing research focuses on human landscapes — from our built environment to the foods we eat.
